Deb Davis: The Voice of CHERRYWOOD 

From the drum kit to center stage, Deb Davis has been a defining force in music for over 40 years. Her career began at age 14, leading to an early recording contract and three regional hits. She later spent over two decades fronting her own successful blues-rock band, touring alongside legends like Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Lee Hooker, and Huey Lewis.

After a decade-long hiatus in the business world, a meeting with a talented guitarist reignited her passion, leading to the formation of CHERRYWOOD.

Specializing in a powerful blend of classic rock and soulful blues, the band showcases Deb’s signature vocals—a voice famously described as one that can “soothe you one minute then cut you like a razor the next.” With CHERRYWOOD, Deb continues to captivate audiences, bringing a lifetime of authentic rock-and-roll spirit to every performance.

Paul Roush: The Architect of the Cherrywood Sound

A versatile and commanding presence on the guitar since high school, Paul Roush has spent years refining a style that balances raw power with technical precision. Drawing inspiration from the legendary Roy Buchanan and the high-energy swing of Brian Setzer, Paul has developed a signature sound that is as adaptable as it is "dominating."

This flexibility made him a sought-after talent in the regional circuit, leading to several tours and solidifying his reputation as an essential pillar of the Dayton music scene.

However, Paul’s philosophy sets him apart from the typical virtuoso. While many guitarists chase the spotlight, Paul believes that a "hot lead" is only valuable if it serves the song. He prioritizes musical craftsmanship over ego, driven by a mission to play the best songs alongside the best musicians. As a founding member of CHERRYWOOD, Paul has realized that goal, bringing his seasoned expertise to a band built for a "big sound."

Patty Jones: A Lifetime of Harmony

After a dedicated career serving the Dayton community as a Registered Nurse, Patty Jones is trading her stethoscope for a microphone and percussion. While she may be a new face to the professional stage, Patty is far from a newcomer to music. Her life has been defined by a deep-rooted love for singing, a passion nurtured through years of performing in school choirs and every Sunday morning in the church choir.

Upon retiring from nursing, Patty chose to dive headlong into her creative calling. She brings a "raw talent" and a lifetime of joy to every performance, viewing music as a new way to continue her life’s work of serving others. For Patty, the goal is simple: to make people happy through song.

As a founding member of CHERRYWOOD, Patty brings a bright, good-natured energy and a soulful vocal presence to the group. She is thrilled to finally share her lifelong passion with the Dayton music scene, proving that it is never too late to follow your heart and find your rhythm.
